Dry scalp?

Are you one of those who suffers from a dry scalp every year when the winter is in full bloom? It's important to know the difference between dry scalp and dandruff. The treatment of these two scalp "problems" are different and not everything works on everyone, you have to try and try again until you find what works for you!

We have scooped together some tips and trix that may, or may not work.

First of all, use the right products, you probably need some hydration and a light rinse. A heavy conditioner or mask once or twice a week will do. Avoid products that promise you volume (shampoo , conditioner and styling), dry shampoo or hair powder, these are products that are meant to remove the natural oil in your hair and scalp.

Some products we recomend that may help you and your winter scalp.

We can offer you a scalp peeling in the salon, this will get the blood floating in your scalp. Blood floating will increase your production of sebum and natural oils AND make your hair grow faster (if you do it often that is) !! We can also help you with different masks and a delicious scalp massage! Sounds good? well it is, so dry scalp or not, it's worth it!

If you try brushing your hair morning and night with a natural bristle brush, this as the scalp massage will help the blood floating and you will get all those natural oils in the rest of the hair and make it healthy and long!

Best of all: Try showering in cold water. And NO, we are not talking freezing ice water, but cold. This is almost 100% free and if it doesn't work you will feel a bit more awake at least, so no harm done!

If you need more help, you know where to find us!
