Get to know your hairdresser, Ine Marie!
Posted by Kutt Grünerløkka on 15. Des 2014
Started Hairdressers School in Høyanger and took my apprenticeship in Bergen.
I needed more, so I moved to Oslo, began at NISS-Make-up and got to do so much fun, with both hair and make-up.
I'm a person who likes bending the rules, trying out different things, things that people told me couldn't be done. I love learning by doing and failing, there is always a way to fix it!
I love clean simple cuts. Cuts that are easy to at home and looks even better after a good night sleep. Long hair, short hair, dosen't matter, I'll cut everything you put in front of me, maybe I'll do a complete makeover or just a trim!
As a hairdresser and make-up artist I see the world a bit different than the average person, I see opportunities ,I see a face that I can make completly different with just a stroke of a brush. I see one haircut 10 different ways. I see shapes, forms, shadow, highlights, I see a fun project!
I belive less is more, I like to keep my focus on small details that might suprise you. And trust me, if you let me do my job, I will suprise you, in a good way!
And finaly, some inspiration for you, enjoy!

Becoming a hairdresser has been a dream ever since I was a little girl. I started cutting my Barbie Dolls and I always knew that a hairdresser was what my profession would be, as I grew up.This is a decision I have never once regretted taking. I knew this was for me the day I started working as a cleaning girl in my cousins salon. My journey becoming the best hairdresser I could be started at Oslo Frisørskole in 2004.
In addition to being a hairdresser I a also a trained makeup artist from MKC Beauty Academy in Los Angeles.
I consider myself as a very technically skilled hairdresser when it comes to both cut and color. Do you want a special color I can guarantee to put my heart and soul into blending this color, to assure your´e happiness!
I LOVE to cut men's hairstyles, I focus a lot on masculine forms and it is the utmost important for me to ensure that the haircut also works at home, and not just looks good when you leave the salon. Because this is so important for me, I can guarantee you that this is something I´m damn good at doing!
I also work for Matrix as an educator. I get to travel around in Norway and hold shows with Matrix to educate and inspire other hairdressers. I really love doing this, and I always come back inspired by everything I have seen.
In September 2013 opened my very own salon at Grünerløkka, named Kutt. This is a part of the "Adam og Eva Gruppen". I work here with five other amazing girls who I couldn't be without!
My future goal is to work international. I dream of going back to Los Angeles to open a salon there as well.
Hope you got to know me a little bit better and here are some photos that inspires me! Hope to see YOU in my chair!

Is home color really that dangerous?
Posted by Kutt Grünerløkka on 29. Okt 2014
It can often be tempting to color your hair on your own, and in many cases it works out just fine. The problem however often occur when you want to change the color again. In home color there is often more, or bigger pigments and a stronger oxydant than the hairdresser would normally recommend. What happens is that the color penetrates deeper into the hair and makes it harder to color treatments afterwards.
There are endless ways to change the color of your hair. If you want a color that doesn't require maintenance every six weeks, there is a lot of options for you. Come visit us and get help to find the perfect color for you!

Did you know herbs can help you achieve beautiful hair?!
Posted by Kutt Grünerløkka on 29. Okt 2014
Horsetail is an herb, which can be used if you experience hair loss. It contains the silica and selenium, which strengthens the connective tissue, and hair roots as well as the keratin and promotes hair growth.
How to use it; use horsetail as a tea or take pure silica as a dietary supplement.
Rosemary is an herb, which stimulates the blood circulation and thereby improves hair growth. It is perfect for massaging the scalp to strengthen the hair and make it appear shiny and healthy.
How to use it; use a shampoo which contains rosemary or apply a few drops of an essential oil diluted in coconut-, olive- or castor oil and to the scalp and massage for a few minutes before washing your hair.
Sage is an herb, which can help if you experience dandruff.
How to use it; use sage as a tea and make an extract of 2 tbs sage and 5 dl water. Leave it for 5 – 10 minutes and sieve the tea. Drench through the hair every morning and night and leave it in. For best effect this should be repeated for 2 – 3 weeks. Note; not suitable for light blonde hair because it can make the hair darker. It is also recommended to drink sage tea several times during the day.
Aloe Vera can help if you experience hair loss, and is also effective against wounds in the scalp.
How to use it; use a shampoo which contains aloe vera, or use a few drops of concentrated aloe vera which you can massage into the scalp before washing your hair.
Tea-tree is an effective herb for greasy hair. It is naturally anti-bacterial and can reduce dandruff from fungal infections.
How to use it; use a shampoo which contains tea-tree oil or massage a few drops of an essential oil into the scalp before washing your hair.
Buckthorn has been suggested to be effective against hair loss in men.
How to use it; include whole or crushed seeds in your diet, or buy capsules with extract of buckthorn. You can drink it as an herbal tea where you use 2 tbs seeds and 2.5 dl water. Pour cold water over the seeds let it soak for 5 hours. Heat the mix to boiling point and leave it for 1 minute before sieve the seeds from the water. Drink 2 – 3 cups daily.
Lavender is a naturally anti-bacterial and calming herb, which also promotes healing of a sore scalp.
How to use it; use a shampoo which contains lavender or use a few drops of an essential oil which you massage into the scalp before washing your hair.
Keep in mind that individuals may react allergic to herbs, hence you should always be careful trying herbs or essential oils for the first time.

Nursing and Hairloss..

Many pregnant women will get so thick and nice looking hair. This is because while you are pregnant, the pregnancy hormones make sure that the hair you normally would have lost every day, almost never fall out.
When the baby is born and the placenta is out, the major hormone quantities that held the hair in place is gone and the hair eventually starts falling off.
If you start with Caviar Treatment Clinical approximately 3-4 weeks before birth, you will avoid the big hair loss.
The treatment consists of Caviar Daily Detoxifying Shampoo, Caviar Root and Scalp Stimulator and a Weekly Intesive Boosting Treatment. It is recommended to use Volume Conditioner to get that extra fullness.

Longing for that masculine and compact beard?!
Posted by Kutt Grünerløkka on 28. Apr 2014
Method 1 of 3: Caring for your Face
Exfoliate your skin one time per week. Use a scrub or an exfoliant specifically for men. Removing dead skin cells will stimulate new hair growth.
- Try an exfoliating mask. You will apply the product to your face and leave it on for a period of time, usually between 10 and 30 minutes, before rinsing it.
http://www.pinterest.com/heraderma/beauty-recipes/
Use a cream or moisturizer with eucalyptus. Products with eucalyptus are useful in helping hair grow more quickly on your face.
- Remove any flaky or dry skin. Moisturized skin creates a better environment for facial hair to grow quickly, which will create a beard fast.
http://www.chpcanada.ca/en/blog/tips-how-get-rid-ingrown-hairs
Get plenty of rest. Sleep will help your damaged skin cells repair themselves and promote beard growth.
Manage stress in healthy ways. Beards will grow more quickly when you are relaxed, and many beauty and health experts believe hair reveals stress.
- Try exercise to manage stress and grow your beard quickly. Exercise improves blood circulation to the face, which will promote hair growth.
Method 2 of 3: Taking Vitamins and Supplements
Take biotin daily. This dietary supplement is known to increase the growth of hair and nails.
- Use 2.5 mg of biotin every day to make your beard grow quickly. This often comes in supplements which you can buy from a vitamin shop or health food store.
Increase the amount of protein in your diet. Protein found in meat, fish, eggs and nuts will grow facial hair faster.
Pay attention to fruits and vegetables. Hair cannot grow without the proper nutrients in the body, and fruits and veggies provide several of the vitamins and minerals hair needs to grow quickly.
Method 3 of 3: Leaving the Beard Alone
Defy the urge to trim or shape your beard. If you want the hair to come in quickly, leave it alone while it grows. You will have the chance to groom the beard after about 4 to 6 weeks when it is full
Ignore the belief that shaving regularly makes hair grow thicker and quicker. There is no scientific evidence to support this. Shaving your beard will only reduce the amount of hair on your face, not bring it in more rapidly.
Expect growing facial hair to be stiff. Because your hair will not all grow at the same pace, your face might get itchy and irritated.
- Apply a hydrocortisone cream to your face every day while you are growing a beard. It will relieve the itching and the steroid in the hydrocortisone will also help your hair grow faster.

You gotta brush it!
Posted by Kutt Grünerløkka on 10. Apr 2014
If you wish to get a healthy, shiny, beatiful, long hair you need to be prepared to spend some minutes every day keeping it look good. Brushing it is one way to make sure that your hair is going to maintain the strenght and shine that many long hair is missing.
Brushing your hair every day will also activate your blood circulation and make sure to give the cuticles all the "juice" it need to grow out. Another benefit in the long run is less frizzy hair, so don't forget this easy beauty tip, just do it!
How to brush your long hair the proper way:
Allways use a natural boar hair brush, it will not damage the structure like many plastic brushes do.
Avoid brushing your hair when it's wet. Wet hair is easier to stretch and damage.
If you got some tangles, start brushing the ends and comb step by step all the way to the roots.
To get your blood circulation going, bend forward at the waist, allowing your hair to hang over your head toward the floor. Use long strokes and brush from your head toward the ends of your hair.
Brush it every day,Twice!

Check out this handsome fellow!!
Posted by Kutt Grünerløkka on 6. Feb 2014
Today I had a visit from the one and only Salvador in the salon!
We go way back and had a small project with his hair, let it grow and see how far and good it gets! He was looking darn handsome (as he always has). Now he tells me that he is tired of the long hair (?!) and wants to cut it SHORT! Shit French fries I think while it ties up in my stomach.
And then I got to it, started cutting it off...
Here you can see a picture of what he looked like before I put the scissors in his hair!
Eyecandy right?
As you can see, he has a lot of hair.
And now I present to you a brand new man!
Still looks bloody handsome! Thanks for the fun. :D

Give me a Sombre, Hombre!
Posted by Kutt Grünerløkka on 23. Jan 2014
Take a moment to drink it in, because this is the next big thing, friends. And it's called "Sombre."
Inspired by the metallics all over the runway, stylists dubbed this super shiny, super subtle version of ombre "Sombre." (Get it? Subtle ombre?) The best way to picture the gorgeous graduation is to imagine a polished, solid gold bracelet: It isn't just one color all the way around? As the light moves, the color looks slightly lighter and brighter on one end. You get more dimensions that make a little bounce in you hair color.
Plus and this is huge you look pulled together and pretty like you do with highlights, but you don't have to run to the salon to cover your roots every time your hair grows like a centimeter. Unlike ombre, this looks to-die-for on redheads.
This is my model Elisabeth, we played with the sombre in 4 different shades in reds. A deeper, darker in the roots and highlights and lowlights i the ends with different shades. Fun!
Want in? Hit the salon. (I wouldn't try this at home unless you're a pro).

Ditch hat-head this winter!
Posted by Kutt Grünerløkka on 17. Jan 2014
There is a million women wearing hats and only some of them look good. As I looked around, I realized the hats were cute, the women were cute, but these ladies' manes were not working out. Because yes, it freaking matters how your hair looks under a hat. And the good news? It doesn't take much effort to do this right.
It's all about balance.
If you're rocking a beanie, big loose waves are the way to go. Think about it: If you're wearing something close to your head, super straight, sleek hair will make you look like a Q-Tip.
Adding some loose waves will balance the snug-fitting topper. Keyword here is loose. No date night stuff.
Nothing looks more ridiculous than jeans and a beanie with an over-done 'do, right? Plus, if your hair already has a bunch of body, you won't have super-flat hair when you pull off your hat.
If you're working it in a wide brimmed hat, go for mostly straight hair with just a little bit of movement--like round-brush blow out or brushed-out waves at most. Since the big floppy hat is so wide, major waves would make your head look wider. Avoid hat head by spraying roots with a volume powder before heading out.
Curl your hair on Sunday, rock a beanie running errands. Then, brush out the curls Monday AM and throw on a big floppy hat with some wide legged jeans and platform booties.

Here you can see the biggest hair trends for this spring and summer. Be inspired and have fun!
Accessories
The look: A cute, girlie touch can soften the other hair trends - such as wet-look shine or flat side partings - and an accessory is the easiest way to do it. There were leather wraps and clips on the catwalks, but our fave take on this trend is with bold bows. Alexa Chung’s doing it already – of course.
The shows: Roksanda Ilincic (pictured), Daks, Maria Grachvogel
Edgy bobsThe look: Bobs have been brewing for multiple seasons but for 2014 they’re edgy. Short fringes and striking colours make up the trend’s DNA. One for the beauty brave.

Mermaid wavesThe look: Glossy, nautical waves are the new look for beachy blondes this year. Both clean and wet-look textures work and a centre-parting look current.
The shows: Diane von Furstenberg (left) more structured, Calvin Klein looser, J Mendel (right) glossy
Messy plaitsThe look: Plaits are the tress trend that keeps on coming and we’re not complaining. This season they’re either glossy or matte, but always messy. Handy for those of us who aren’t perfectionists!
The shows: Rachel Zoe (left) and Giles (right)
Retro curlsThe look: The 70s are major for Spring/Summer and the way to tackle the trend is with retro curls. The look has a modern twist with low side partings (did we mention they were a trend?) and they’re completely frizz-free.

True romanceThe look: If you’re looking for wedding and party hair inspiration call off the search. The trend for ethereal, dreamy up-dos are IN. Take a laidback approach to it for effortless romance.
The shows: Erdem (left), Temperley (right)
High shineThe look: This is killer shine, almost wet but glossy not greasy. From gelled sides to slicked-back roots this flat-to-the-head look works well when it leads into a sleek low ponytail or with loose lengths revealing a contrasting matte texture.
The shows: Kenzo (left), House of Holland (right) and Ashley Williams
Extreme side partingsThe look: Androgyny is having a moment but the trend for the 1930s-inspired boyish comb-over actually oozes confidence and can look super-sexy.
The shows: Stella McCartney (pictured), Pucci, Fendi, Dior, Erdem
Slept-in textureThe look: Lived-in locks are huge for Spring/Summer ’14. At Topshop Unique they were rougher than beachy waves, while at Balmain they were soft and sleepy. The key is making this look undone, but well done.

SportyThe look: Victoria Beckham has proved you don’t have to wear trainers to nail the sports luxe look. From stretchy headbands at her show, to blinging visors at Marni, the trend for workout wear as hair accessories was much more chic than eek. We love it when fashion is practical as well as pretty.
